The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the England batting ace was yesterday issued a speeding ticket in Geelong while driving a yellow Lamborghini organised through his good friend Warne.

Pietersen was allegedly travelling at 121km/h in a 100km/h zone and was fined $239 and deducted three demerit points. There was no passenger in the car at the time.

Pietersen had reportedly taken the car - worth $475,000 - for a drive along the Great Ocean Road before being caught. The third Test begins in Perth on Thursday.
