Fabregas will join Barcelona, predicts Messi

LONDON - Barcelona striker Lionel Messi believes that Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will join the Spanish club this year.
Messi feels that the lure of trophies and Barcelona’s excellence will be too much for Fabregas to resist.
“In the end Cesc will do what he wants and what the people at Barca want. It doesn’t depend on us, but I think his inclination is to be at Barcelona because there is nowhere he will be better off than here,” the Sun quoted Messi, as saying.
The 23-year-old also said that Arsene Wenger’s team would struggle without Fabregas in their team.
“It’s clear he is vital for them. Their play depends so much on him - they are constantly giving him the ball,” Messi said.
“He is a very important player for them,” he added.
Barcelona will host Arsenal to the Camp Nou on March 8 for the second leg of the Champions League last 16 tie.
Arsenal currently holds a 2-1 first leg lead. (ANI)
