Federer top; Djokovic and Davydenko climb ATP ranking

HAMBURG - Roger Federer retained the top spot in the men’s tennis rankings Monday while Novak Djokovic returned to third and Nikolay Davydenko climbed to the sixth place.

Switzerland’s Federer has 10,805 points in the latest Association of Tennis Professional (ATP) list to lead from Spanish rival Rafael Nadal (9,095) and Djokovic (7,950), who moved ahead of Briton Andy Murray again by virtue of a Shanghai semi-final berth last week.

Russia’s Davydenko won the Shanghai Masters to rise from eighth to sixth with 4,700 points.
