F1 champ Button joins McLaren, teams with Hamilton

WOKING, England — Formula One champion Jenson Button has signed a multiyear deal with McLaren to form an all-British lineup with Lewis Hamilton.

Button’s contract with Brawn GP had ended and talks about a new deal had stalled. The 29-year-old driver had captured his first F1 driver’s title in Brawn’s first year.

Button said Wednesday that it is a “great pleasure” to be teaming with Hamilton, who won the 2008 championship.
