Sri Lanka bowl out India for 642 in first innings

KANPUR - India were bowled out for 642 runs in the first innings by Sri Lanka on the second day of the second cricket Test at the Green Park stadium here Wednesday.

Gautam Gambhir was the highest scorer with 167 while Virender Sehwag (131) and Rahul Dravid (144) also hit centuries. V.V.S. Laxman (63) and Yuvraj Singh (67) hit valuable half-centuries.

India, who were 535 for four at lunch, lost three wickets in the second session and were bowled out shortly after the tea break. Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath picked up five for 121.
