India enforce follow on against Sri Lanka in Kanpur Test

KANPUR - India gained a massive first innings lead of 413 runs after bowling out Sri Lanka for 229 on the third day of the second cricket Test at Green Park here Thursday.

India have enforced the follow on against Sri Lanka.

Shanthakumaran Sreesanth (5-75) ran through the Sri Lankan top order while Harbhajan Singh (2-54) and debutant Pragyan Ojha (2-37) also contributed with the ball.

Mahela Jayawardene (47) and Kumar Sangakkara (44) were the top scorers.

This is the highest ever lead any side has taken in an India-Sri Lanka encounter.
