No. 17 Texas knocks off Miami 76-65

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Kathleen Nash had 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 17 Texas to a 76-65 victory over Miami in the Wyndham Miami Holiday Tournament championship on Tuesday.

Brittainey Raven added 17 points for Texas (9-3), which outrebounded the Hurricanes 56-37 and went 9 for 18 from 3-point range. The Longhorns have won four straight since their 78-58 loss at No. 4 Tennessee on Dec. 6.

Shenise Johnson scored 17 points and Riquna Williams had 16 for Miami (10-2), which shot 35 percent from the field. Diane Barnes finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Texas, which led 42-35 at halftime, shot 41 percent from the field.
