No. 12 Florida State beats Western Carolina, 80-47

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Alysha Harvin and Chasity Clayton each scored 13 points, leading No. 12 Florida State to an 80-47 win over Western Carolina on Wednesday night.

The Seminoles (12-2) started sluggishly, allowing the Catamounts to stay within single digits for much of the first half. WCU (2-10) led 7-6 five minutes into the game, but trailed the rest of the way. It was the sixth time this season FSU held an opponent to 50 or fewer points.

Harvin and Clayton led a balanced scoring attack, with five Seminoles in double figures. Cierra Bravard scored 12, while Alexa Deluzio scored 11 and Chelsea Davis added a career-high 10.

Emily Clarke led Western Carolina with 19 points, while Kendra Carroll added 10.
