Cops claim crash left Tiger Woods with a ‘fat lip’

MELBOURNE - Police officers have denied reports that Tiger Woods was left with a fractured cheekbone after his wife hit him with a golf club.
According to Orlando’s WESH-TV, cops saw no signs of domestic violence, just a “fat lip”.
Sports writer Furman Bisher had earlier written on his blog that Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren had hit him with nine-iron golf club after learning about his infidelity, which prompted the golfer to seek plastic surgery.
However, police said the report was false, explaining Woods met with the Florida Highway Patrol three days after his November car crash and no such injuries existed.
“All these rumours of these injuries are false,” News.com.au quoted the spokesperson as saying.
When Florida Highway Patrol closed its investigation, the spokesperson said the patrol “is not pursuing criminal charges in this matter nor is there any testimony or other evidence to support any additional charges of any kind other than the charge of careless driving”. (ANI)
