Europe will win regardless of Tiger Woods playing for US, says Montgomerie

LONDON - Ace golfer Colin Montgomerie believes Europe will regain the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor this year regardless of whether Tiger Woods plays for the United States.
Montgomerie hopes Tiger Woods ends his indefinite leave of absence to continue his remarkable career.
He would also like him to be available for the Ryder Cup despite the threat he would pose to Europe’s chances of claiming the trophy, the Daily Express reports.
“We’d love to have him play in the Ryder Cup against us, although no one’s quite sure how long this absence from the game is going to be,” Europe captain Montgomerie said.
“A lot depends on whether Tiger plays, as he hasn’t lost in the singles. But if our 12 play to their potential, with the crowd’s backing, we will win,” he added. (ANI)
