Sawtooth Mountain wins Big A feature

NEW YORK — Sawtooth Mountain, at 21-1, charged home Wednesday to beat Tranquil Manner by a nose in the $43,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct.

Apprentice jockey Angel Serpa, Jr. was aboard for trainer Alexander DeRosa as the 4-year-old rallied from seventh for his third win in 14 starts. The time was 1:42.95 for the mile, 70 yards on the fast track.

Sawtooth Mountain paid $45.80, $13 and $10.20. Tranquil Manner returned $4.50 and $3.30. Repenthouse, $6.60, got third.
