Mirpur Test: Team India finish at 459/5 on Day 2

MIRPUR - Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s magnificent knock of 143 and Rahul Dravid’s 111 runs gave India a lead of 226 runs at the end of the second day in the second Test match being played here.
Tendulkar and Dravid’s 100-run partnership for the third wicket came from 25.3 overs and included 10 boundaries.
India declared at 495 for five-226 runs ahead of Bangladesh that included a magnificent 222 runs partnership for the third wicket between Dravid and Tendulkar.
The 103 run opening pair of Sehwag and Gambhir set a perfect platform for the other Indian batsmen to dominate the Bangladeshi bowling.
Gambhir made 68 runs, while Sehwag managed to score a quick 56.
Murali VBijay also contributed a useful 30runs.
For Bangladesh, both Shafiul Islam and Shakib Al Hasan claimed 2 wickets each. (ANI)
