VANCOUVER (GaeaTimes.com)- This Winter Olympics in Vancouver turned out to be a great experience for J.R. Celski, the 19 year old speedskater who made a comeback of sorts with the competition. J.R. Celski would be remembering this Winter Olympics for many of the years to come, considering that it was the very first Winter Olympic that he had taken part in, and that too, J.R. Celski managed to grab a bronze. Since then, he has been making headlines, particularly as the terrible J.R. Celski crash, the video of which is still available in the internet, is still fresh on everyone’s mind.

J.R. Celski probably would not have managed to grab the bronze at the speedskating track of the Winter Olympics had luck not favored him majorly. He was already in the final track, and still way behind the lead, when the two Korean athletes who were ahead of him tangled up and fell. Since then, he has been making headlines, thanks to the fact that he helped in bringing one of the very first two medals for the United States. Besides the news of J.R. Celski having grabbed the bronze medal, the news of his crash a few months back has also returned in focus, the videos of which have become viral.

The video of the J.R. Celski crash, which is currently available in a number of websites, shows him in a terrible crash, which had resulted in a serious injury. The skate blade had gotten embedded in his thigh, resulting in a huge wound which took 60 stitches and three months to heal. The J.R Celski crash video shows him pulling out the blade with his hands.
