FLORIDA - An ex-Stanford roommate of golfer Tiger Woods has described the latter’s apology on Friday for his many sex-related episodes as sincere, and has commended him for trying to keep it all together.

“He was definitely very sincere about what he was saying. There’s a marriage hanging in the balance here and two beautiful kids…I commend him for trying to keep it together,” former Stanford roommate and pro golfer Notah Begay told ESPN.

Asked if Woods had said when he might return to the green, Begay said, “Golf is pretty far down the list.”

PGA honcho Tim Finchem said he too could not say when Woods would play again - and that he’s missed.

“He does generate a significant increase in the overall interest in the sport, no question,” he said.

In Sweden, Elin’s (Tiger Woods wife) father, Thomas Nordegren, said he saw Woods’confession but had nothing to say. Elin’s mom, Barbro Holmberg, also declined comment.

Woods admitted Friday that he had been unfaithful to his wife.

“What I did was unacceptable. I have only myself to blame,” he said. (ANI)
