VANCOUVER, CANADA (GaeaTimes.com)- Scotty Lago is back home. Amidst all the controversies regarding his so called ‘racy photos,’ the blooming snowboarder now seems happy. On Saturday, the bronze medal winner at Vancouver Olympics apparently reached home and started accessing social networking sites. In a social networking site he acknowledged that he reached home. He reportedly wrote that he had a great time at the Winter Olympics. He even cracked a little joke saying, “Keeping my medal in a safe spot for now.” He added a smile at the end of the statement.
While the young snowboarder is still cherishing the memories of his victory at the Olympics, Chairman Larry Probst and the Olympic Committee CEO, Scott Blackmun reportedly said Scotty Lago took the decision of leaving Olympic without even letting the Olympic authority react to it. However, the Chairman, Larry Probst admitted that Scotty Lago took the right decision when he decided to go back home after the photo controversy.
On Thursday, after winning the bronze medal in men’s halfpipe at the Vancouver Olympics, Scotty Lago was celebrating with his friends. Someone unlawfully took two photographs which were then posted on internet. The racy photos were shot when Scotty Lago was wearing a Team USA T-Shirt and the Olympic bronze medal. When the photos were unlawfully posted on internet it was not only humiliating for Scotty Lago, but even the Olympics federation which is pretty strict about the do’s and don’ts of the athletes. The photos of Scotty Lago were controversial as in one of them a lady kneeled down to kiss the medal which was way below Scotty Lago’s waist, in the other a lady was biting the gold medal.

There is nothing unlawful about taking a photograph. The rights to a photograph lie with whomever physically snapped it. Why do you keep saying “unlawfully?” |
