USA Beats Canada In Olympic Ice Hockey

VANCOUVER, CANADA, (GaeaTimes.com)- Team USA on Sunday beat Team Canada at the Olympics Ice Hockey games with the final score of 5-3. Both the teams put a marvelous performance which made the match worth watching. The match was crucial as with the loss of it, the Canadian team has reached the edge of bowing out of the game. While on the other hand, team USA’s win has given them a 3-0 lead which makes them one of the tough contenders in the next round.
With a bunch of not so well known players, team USA proved that what is needed for a win is not only veteran players like team Canada but a brilliant goal tender. Ryan Miller, the goal tender of USA, did a brilliant job by saving 42 shots. The Canadian team on its part put forward constant pressure on the opponent as the total shot score card showed. The team took on 45 shots and one of its goal was done just 3.9 minutes before the end of the match by Sidney Crosby. The Team USA however, had managed only 23 shots out of which they were able to score 5 goals. Brian Rafalski scored two crucial goals and then helped his team to secure another. The Canadian team tried its best but the goal keeper Ryan Miller saved the day.
Much of the hope for team Canada lies on the next match as they have to win it to remain in the event. Team Canada is still hopeful of its win in the next match and will put in its best to remain in the Winter Olympics, according to reports.
