Couples falls back at tougher Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. — First-day Masters leader Fred Couples has dropped back with a 3-over 75 in the second round.

Couples closed with bogeys on the last three holes and four of the final five to fall far behind new leader Lee Westwood.

The 50-year-old Couples was the oldest outright Masters leader after the opening round when he shot a 66 on Thursday. Now, he’s at 3-under 141 and trailing Westwood by six strokes.
