SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- Eric Decker was the pick for the Denver Broncos in the third round of the National Football League Draft on Friday. It was somewhat of a surprise for everyone, as the Denver Broncos had been maintaining a rather low profile in this draft season, having picked only three players, and then too, keeping unusually quiet about it. Other than Eric Decker of the Minnesota Gophers, the Denver Broncos also picked up Zane Beadles of Utah and J.D Walton of Baylor. Moreover, they had also not let out any clue about their draft picks beforehand, which naturally came as a major surprise.
It was only in the third round of the draft that Eric Decker came to know that he had been drafted by the Denver Broncos. Surprisingly enough, he had not been feeling any tension or nervousness till the end of the second round of the draft, which he watched on television at home. The jitters set in with the third round, and that is when the Denver Broncos called him with their offer.
Needless to say, Eric Decker was thrilled with the choice. He admitted that he had always wanted to be picked by the Denver Broncos, which, he felt, was doing a great job with the sport, and which, in his opinion, is one of the best teams in the NFL. He said that he had always wanted to be part of the team. Likewise, it is understandable why the Denver Broncos also seem to be pretty complacent about their choice, as the coach of the team himself commented, considering that they had picked one of the best receivers in the NFL with Eric Decker.
