MIAMI (GaeaTimes.com)- Ricky Williams, the running back of the Miami Dolphins, recently appeared in an interview with one of the sports channels. In the interview, he let it slip that he might not be able to continue with the team any more within the next few days. In act, he also went on to give a tentative date when he might be retiring, saying that it would most probably be by the end of 2011 that he would no longer be playing football, or, he said, it might even be the end of the current year. However, he also went on to say that he might be actually playing the game, depending on whether his health would permit him, and also depending on whether he would be having enough fun from the game as he does right now.
As reason for his decision to quit playing professional football, Ricky Williams said that he has been thinking about it solely because his health would most likely no longer permit him to continue playing, and that he would not like to play as a member of the team if he could not be productive enough. He said that in a sport like football, there is no point in being in the field if one is not able to put in his hundred percent.
That, exactly, is what Ricky Williams feels that he would not be able to do a few years from now. In fact, he feels that he would not be able to give in his best very soon, which is why, he feels it is best to bid goodbye to professional football as best as he can.
