PARIS, FRANCE (GaeaTimes.com)- Venus Williams defeated Patty Schnyde in a straight set 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday at the clay court of Roland Garros. It was an easy win for the seven-time Grand Slam winner who even wooed the crowd with her lingerie costume that she wore on Sunday. Apparently, her costume looked like as if she was wearing a lingerie. Venus Williams told the media that her costume was based upon the theme of illusion. She says that she has packed her bags for French Open with the very best of her costumes which she plans to sport at the red clay court as she proceeds in the tournament.

Venus Williams who happens to be one of the top-seeded players has always failed to leave her mark at the French Open. In fact all her Grand slam titles are either her win at the US Open or at the Wimbledon. Venus Williams said that she has a lot of expectations from this year’s tournament and she wishes to make it to the top this year. Venus Williams believes that if she can keep playing her natural game then there is nothing that can stop her from being a winner at the French Open 2010.

The player’s performance on Sunday is definitely an indication that Venus Williams is looking forward to a long stay in the tournament. Venus Williams was spotted moving from left to right hitting the ball all across the court which is a positive sign for her power play. Venus Williams who is known to be one the hard hitters also collected 12-14 points while playing at the net.
