Jankovic tips Stosur to lift French Open crown

PARIS - World No. 4 Jelena Jankovic has backed Australian tennis ace Samantha Stosur to win Saturday’s French Open final, after being slaughtered 6-1 6-2 in the semi final.
Jankovic was completely overwhelmed by Stosur’s thumping serves and scorching groundstrokes, and was beaten in exactly one hour of play.
“She is a very good chance, she is playing very, very well and I think she will do it,” The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Jankovic, as saying.
Meanwhile, talking about her own performance during the match, Jankovic made similar statements to those of World No. 1 Serena Williams about not being on her game.
“I was not like myself. I don’t know who that was out there,” Jankovic said.
Stosur will now play Italy’s Francesca Schiavone in what will be both women’s maiden Grand Slam finals. (ANI)
