Asian Games: Somdev, Sanam win sixth gold for India

GUANGZHOU - India’s tennis pair Somdev Devvarman and Sanam Singh beat China’s Gong M and Li Z in the men’s doubles event of the Asian Games here on Monday to win the sixth gold for the country.

The Indian duo won 6-3, 6-7, 10-8 in a super tie-breaker.

Earlier today, Sania Mirza and Vishnu Vardhan won a silver medal for India in the mixed doubles event after losing the final 6-4, 1-6, 2-10 to Chan Yung Jan and Yang Tsung Hua.

Somdev has also advanced to the final’s of the single’s event. (ANI)
