Forlan: problem delays Uruguay flight
CAPE TOWN, South Africa — Diego Forlan says a problem with the airplane has delayed Uruguay’s flight to Cape Town ahead of its opening match in the World Cup against France.
Forlan said Thursday on his Twitter account it was “incredible, a day before the start of the Cup. Is there no other plane available?”
Uruguay, which was training in the northern city of Kimberly, was scheduled to train at Cape Town’s Green Point Stadium beginning at 6 p.m. local time. Local officials had no information whether that practice might be pushed back.
