Argentina and Greece tied 0-0 after 15 minutes
POLOKWANE, South Africa — Argentina and Greece are tied 0-0 after 15 minutes in their Group B World Cup match on Tuesday.
Argentina has kept possession of the ball most of the time and is making many short passes at midfield while seeking an opening in the Greece defense. Greece has lost several easy balls to the sidelines.
Two days before his 23rd birthday, Lionel Messi is wearing the captain’s armband for Argentina for the first time. He is his team’s youngest captain ever.
Argentina will finish first in Group B with a win but can go through to the next round even with a loss, depending on the outcome of the match between Nigeria and South Korea.
