DURBAN, South Africa — Portugal is holding Brazil at 0-0 after 75 minutes in their final Group G match at the World Cup on Friday.
Brazil has dominated, missing first-half chances with Luis Fabiano and Nilmar, whose shot was blocked by goalkeeper Eduardo on to the goalpost.
Raul Meireles missed at close range for Portugal, with Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar barely tipping the ball into the side netting.
Mexican referee Benito Archundia showed seven yellow cards in the first half, four to Portugal. But tempers cooled after the break at Moses Mabhida Stadium, with Brazil already through to the knockout stage, and Portugal on course to follow.
