Switzerland and Honduras 0-0 after 15 minutes
BLOEMFONTEIN, South Africa — Switzerland and Honduras are 0-0 in their World Cup Group H match.
Switzerland stand-in captain Gokhan Inler had an early chance at Free State Stadium on Friday, but he pulled a left-footed shot wide after creating space for himself on the edge of the penalty area.
Honduras’ Hendry Thomas was yellow-carded after just 4 minutes for a tackle from behind on Inler.
In the final group to be decided at the World Cup, Switzerland dropped captain Alex Frei for the decisive match.
Winless Honduras has an outside chance of going through if it wins, Spain loses to Chile, and the goal difference swings in its favor.
