Switzerland, Honduras at 0-0 after 30 minutes
BLOEMFONTEIN, South Africa — Switzerland and Honduras are 0-0 after 30 minutes in their decisive World Cup Group H match Friday.
The Swiss created the best opening in the 17th minute when Tranquillo Barnetta crossed for Eren Derdiyok, but the striker headed wide from 6 yards.
Switzerland captain Gokhan Inler had an early chance, but he pulled a left-footed shot wide after creating space for himself on the edge of the penalty area.
In the final group to be decided at the World Cup, Switzerland will qualify for the round of 16 if it betters Spain’s result against Chile. If Spain wins, the Swiss need to beat Honduras by two goals.
