Ronaldo likely to be replaced by Alvez as captain of Portgual

LONDON - Ace striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who performed poorly at the World Cup, will be sacked as the captain of Portgual.
The Real Madrid star caused a storm with his behaviour in the defeat against Spain.
He was seen spitting towards a camera at the end of the game. And when asked why Portugal lost, he replied: “Ask Queiroz.”
But now it has also been disclosed that he criticised coach Carlos Queiroz during the match, News of the World reports.
He was caught on camera saying: “Carlos, we won’t win like this.”
The former Manchester United star was unhappy about being isolated as the lone striker, and is likely to be replaced as skipper by Porto defender Bruno Alves, the report said.
The next competitive fixture of Portugal is the European Championship qualifier against Cyprus on September 3. (ANI)
