Bruno Senna dropped by Hispania for British GP
SILVERSTONE, England — Hispania Racing has dropped Bruno Senna, the nephew of the late three-time world champion Ayrton, for Sunday’s British Formula One Grand Prix.
The 26-year-old Brazilian will be replaced by the Spanish team’s test and reserve driver Sakon Yamamoto for the Silverstone race.
Senna has finished only three of the nine races in his debut season in F1.
There was no immediate explanation from the team for the decision on Thursday and Senna gave no indication on his Twitter feed.
In the late afternoon, Senna commented only on the Silverstone track, saying the “changes look pretty good.”
