Rain delays action at Softball World Cup
OKLAHOMA CITY — A thunderstorm has forced changes in the schedule at the World Cup of Softball.
More than three hours of rain delays forced a game between the U.S. national team and the USA Futures on Sunday night to be moved back to Monday at noon Central time.
The United States planned to finish a game Sunday night against Canada that was delayed by rain in the fifth inning with the Americans trailing 5-1, with that game to be immediately followed by Canada facing Japan.
The US is already guaranteed a spot in Monday night’s championship game, but the three other teams are still in the mix to make it to the finals.
