Gay beats Bolt in 100 meters in Stockholm

STOCKHOLM — Tyson Gay has won the 100 meters, upsetting Usain Bolt at the DN Galan meet on Friday in 9.84 seconds.

The American always looked in complete control against the world record-holder Bolt, who was straining to keep up with Gay by the end of the highly anticipated race.

Bolt finished second in 9.97 and Richard Thompson of Trinidad finished third in 10.10.
