Willie Mitchell Moves Over to Los Angeles Kings

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — Vancouver Canucks’ defenceman Willie Mitchell is going over to Los Angeles Kings on a two-year contract worth $3.5 million per season.
Mitchell, whose last season ended on January 16, when he suffered a concussion after being slammed into the end boards by Pittsburgh forward Evgeni Malkin. Later he had recently auditioned for a number of teams who were seeking confirmation that he had fully recovered.
The former eighth-round pick of the New Jersey Devils in 1996, the 33-year-old has compiled 19 goals, 119 points and 621 penalty minutes in 586 NHL games with the Devils, Wild, Stars and Canucks.
