Asian Games hockey: Indian men beat Japan 3-2

GUANGZHOU - India defeated Japan 3-2 in men’s hockey to top their Group at the Asian Games here Sunday.

Sandeep Singh converted two penalty corners (38th, 62nd) while Rajpal Singh (31st minute) slammed one goal. For Japan, Hiroki Sakamoto (21st, 63rd) scored two field goals.

India, who have already qualified for the semifinals, have an all-win record win 12 points.
