Fancy Point wins at Saratoga
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Fancy Point won the $70,000 Phil Johnson Stakes for 2-year-old fillies on Wednesday at Saratoga, beating Kathmanblu by 1½ lengths.
Fancy Point, ridden by Javier Castellano and trained by Will Phipps, ran 1 1-16 miles on the inner turf course in 1:42.78 and paid $9.70, $5.50 and $4.60. She earned $42,000 for the victory in her second career start.
Kathmanblu returned $14 and $9.10, and Pleine Forme paid $5.10 to show.
