SOUTH BEND (GaeaTimes.com)- Denard Robinson’s run of 502 yards on Saturday let the Michigan Wolverines Football team in a 28-24 win over Notre Dame Fighting Irish football. The veteran player of Michigan Wolverines Football team came out with flying colors in the last match against Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football. He scored a 87-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and the records say that it is the longest in the history of Notre Dame Football Stadium.
It was a tough situation for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football team as one of their most important players, Dayne Crist was injured and had to leave the field in the first half. Denard Robinson took the full opportunity and turned the whole match in his favor. U-M athletic director Dave Brandon said in one of his statements that Denard Robinson is the fastest “guy” he had ever seen on a football field. Although Dayne Crist was replaced by Tommy Rees, yet the match seemed to be in the favor of Michigan Wolverines Football team from the very beginning.
Denard Robinson found his connection with both Martavious Odoms and Roy Roundtree, who even managed eight catches for his 82 yards. The receivers played quite well and one of the most important part of the game was when Michigan Wolverines Football team grabbed a first quarter interception from Notre Dame Fighting Irish team and Denard Robinson hit Roy Roundtree on the first play for 31 yard touchdown. The winning team showed a marvelous defense on their part by grabbing three interceptions and forcing eight punts. Later in the game Tommy Rees was replaced by Nate Montana who could not perform the way it was expected from him. Nate Montana threw an interception and then overthrew the end zone on the final play of the first half.
