Sania in doubles quarterfinal in Guangzhou

GUANGZHOU - India’s Sania Mirza and Edina Gallovits of Romania entered the doubles quarterfinals of $220,000 Guangzhou International Women’s Open tennis with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Australians Jarmila Groth and Sally Peers.

The unseeded Indo-Romanian pair next plays Briton Anna Smith and Zi Yan of China.

Sania has already entered the singles quarterfinals where she now plays China’s Shuai Zhang.
