LONDON - Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka believes that his club’s unbelievable goal scoring ability is putting the fear factor into their opponents.

Chelsea took their goal tally for the season to 21 in five games with a 4-1 victory against MSK Zilina in Wednesday’s opening Champions League match.

The Blues had scored 142 goals in all competitions last season, including 103 in the Premier League.

“Goals seem to be coming from everywhere in this team and that’s good. Opponents know it, too, so maybe that scares them,” The Daily Express quoted Anelka, as saying.

“Why are we winning games by so many goals? Maybe because we didn’t change very much in the summer, so everybody knows each other’s game.”

Anelka also insists that Chelsea is destined to win the Champions League this season.

“If we win the Champions League we can say yes, we are better than last season,” he added. (ANI)
