David Beckham, Gordon Ramsay in campsite gun scare

LONDON - Football ace David Beckham and TV chef Gordon Ramsay got so scared during their recent campaign trip that they left their tents and checked into a posh hotel.

The pals had packed tents and headed out into the sticks near Los Angeles for a bit of bonding with their nippers - but ended up in a hotel.

“We woke up at 4.30am to gunfire. There were tents about half a mile away on the side of this ravine, with these Mexicans shooting. We don’t know what, we just heard the bangs,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

He told Radio 1’s Chris Moyles Show that they then hot-footed it to safety.

“We packed up and checked into the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego,” he added. (ANI)
