Coleman throws for 2 touchdowns in Chattanooga’s 27-21 win over Western Carolina

Chattanooga edges Western Carolina 27-21

CULLOWHEE, N.C. — B.J. Coleman threw for two touchdowns and Chattanooga defeated Western Carolina 27-21 on Saturday night.

Coleman was 21-for-35 passing for 259 yards, with 91 of those going to Joel Bradford who had eight catches.

Both teams had four turnovers with Western Carolina (1-3, 0-1 Southern Conference) throwing three interceptions.

The Catamounts tied it at 14 as C.J. Johnson recovered a fumble, which was forced by Dre Thomas, and returned it 12 yards early in the third quarter.

Chattanooga took back the lead on its next possession as Coleman found Garrett Hughes for a 3-yard touchdown. Later in the third quarter Kadeem Wise had his second interception to put the Mocs (2-2, 1-0) on the Western Carolina 23. Errol Wynn, who finished with 80 yards on 16 carries, scored from 23 yards out.

Brandon Pechloff was 9-for-21 passing with 127 yards for Western Carolina.
