CWG volunteers theme song launched

NEW DELHI - ‘Delhi United’, the theme song for the volunteer programme of the Oct 3-14 Commonwealth Games was launched here Tuesday.

The song, composed by the seven-member Tapasya band of the Manav Rachna International University (MRIU), is titled ‘Delhi United In Spirit…In Action’.

The team comprises band manager Rohit Chaudhry, guitarist and lead singer Gaurav Sharma, guitarists Deepanshu Bhoj and Aman Bhatnagar, keyboard player Akshay Gauri, drummer Akash Sharma and female vocalist Apurva Grover.

“We began working on the song in July. The song is for the masses and has a local feel. We hope the song will connect to people’s heart,” MRIU vice president Amit Bhalla said.
