IOC chief Rogge to attend Commonwealth Games opening ceremony

NEW DELHI - International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge will be the special invitee at the opening ceremony of the Delhi Commonwealth Games here Sunday, a top Indian Olympic Association (IOA) official said.
Rogge will arrive in Delhi Friday and leave the capital Monday, IOA secretary general Randhir Singh told IANS Thursday.
During his stay, Rogge is scheduled to meet delegates of some of the Commonwealth Games Associations and he will also visit the venues and the Games Village.
