Indian government advisory to Games spectators

NEW DELHI - The home ministry Saturday issued a 18-point advisory to ticket-holders of the Commonwealth Games starting here Sunday.
* Reach venues on time. Be in your seat before the competition starts.
* The sooner you reach the venue, the quicker you will reach your seat.
* Be prepared for queues.
* Closer to when an event starts, there may be a crowd at the gate.
* Carry your ticket or accreditation card together with the ticket.
* Flap Barriers and Radio Frequency readers will read the ticket and the accreditation card. If it says ‘invalid, a second attempt will be made. If that gives the same result, the person will not be admitted.
* Everyone will be frisked and checked.
* If the flap barrier or Radio Frequency reader fail, security personnel will do a thorough manual check of the person.
* If the queue gets longer, kindly put up with the inconvenience.
* For the Opening and Closing ceremonies, take the seat according to the block, row and number printed on the ticket. For the other events, go to the block on the ticket to take a seat.
* Abide by the guidance provided by the ushers.
* Only vehicles/cars with authorised vehicle access passes can go up to the designated points. If you travel by a car with an authorised vehicle access pass, alight at a designated point and walk the remaining distance.
* Some venues have designated parking lots.
* At the end of a game, walk back to the parking lot.
* Visitors who travel by vehicles without vehicle access pass may use the Park and Ride or Park and Walk schemes.
* Use public transport as far as possible.
* Do not carry items on restricted list.
* The Dos and Donts will apply to every visitor and no exception will be made.
