Continent-wise countries at the Delhi Commonwealth Games

NEW DELHI - The over 6,700 athletes and officials at the Delhi Commonwealth Games have come from 71 countries and territories spread across six continents and regions. The 71 teams make the 19th edition of the Games the biggest ever.

The 53 nations were once part of the British empire. The 18 territories are still governed by Britain.

Here is a continent-wise break up of the participating countries and territories and their population:
