LONDON - McLaren Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton is confident that he can put up a good show at Sunday’s Japan Grand Prix to boost his title hopes.

Hamilton had finished third in his first race in Suzuka last year, but knows that he needs to dazzle on the circuit to up the pressure in the championship fight.

“On arrival it was clear that this was one of the great racetracks of the world. Suzuka is unfinished business for me,” The Sun quoted Hamilton, as saying.

“I raced the best I could last year, but our car just wasn’t fast enough. This year, I’m holding nothing back,” he added.

The 25-year-old has claimed points in just one of his last four races - his win in Belgium.

With 182 points, Hamilton is 20 points behind Red Bull’s title leader Mark Webber (202 points).

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso is at second place with 191 points, while Webber’s team-mate Sebastian Vettel is fourth with 181 points. (ANI)
