LONDON - Former Chelsea football star Claude Makelele and his former girlfriend have filed legal complaints against each other after the two had a violent altercation at his home near Paris.
Makelele, 37, presently the captain of Paris-Saint-Germain, the French first division side, told police that the woman, named by police sources as Thandiwae Ojeer, a 35-year-old Brit, let herself into his house while the footballer was at home.
As per the reports from Le Parisien, the midfielder told detectives that she took advantage of his unlocked front gate to get into the premises and thereafter attacked him scratching his face before he subdued her.
Maklele has filed an official complaint for intruding, reports the Telegraph.
However, Ojeer allegedly denies starting the fight, saying it began while she had come to the house to collect her belongings.
Police said that she suffered bruising to her jaw and was treated at the hospital in the Yvelines area, west of Paris.
Five months ago, Noemie Lenoir, the Marks and Spencer’s lingerie model, another former girlfriend of the footballer, tried to commit suicide after he reportedly said he wanted to leave her. (ANI)
