CWG: Archer Rahul Banerjee wins 27th gold for India

NEW DELHI - Archer Rahul Banerjee won gold in the men’s individual recurve event at the XIXth Commonwealth Games today.

Banerjee bagged the gold by beating his Canadian opponent.

Meanwhile, Manavjit Singh Sandhu won bronze for India in singles trap event and Jayanta Talukdar too won bronze in the men’s individual recurve event.

Earlier, archer Deepika Kumari won gold in the women’s recurve archery singles while Dola Banerjee won the bronze in the same event.

Depika bagged gold by beating England’s Alison Jane Williamson.

Earlier, Dola had lost out to England’s Williamson in the semis. (ANI)
