‘Love-rat’ Rooney and wife to have their marriage blessed

LONDON - ‘Love-rat’ Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen will hold a ceremony to have their marriage blessed in a bid to “wipe away” his cheating past.
The troubled striker, whose alleged romps with hooker Jenny Thompson nearly ended their relationship, wants their marriage to be “born again”.
“It will almost be like a fresh start for the marriage,” the Daily Star quoted a close pal as saying.
“It will be a case of saying, ‘What has happened has happened but from here on in we’re rock solid and have God’s blessing’,” the pal said.
According to the pal, only close family will be invited.
It is believed a Catholic priest will perform the blessing and that Wayne, 24, may say a few words to those who attend.
Pals say he is desperate to convince Coleen’s heartbroken parents, Tony and Colette, that he will never stray again. (ANI)
