Dikshit lauds ministers, officials for Games’ success

NEW DELHI - Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Monday thanked her cabinet colleagues and officials for the success of the Commonwealth Games which concluded Oct 14.
According to a government source, Dikshit thanked them during a cabinet meeting.
The chief minister individually thanked all the ministers and also officials for taking part in the Games preparations enthusiastically and supervising the work, the source added.
The governments public works department (PWD), horticulture, health and transport departments were among those involved in the preparations for the 12-day event.
All the ministers, except Finance Minister A.K. Walia who is vacationing in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, were present in the meeting. There are seven ministers, including the chief minister, in Delhis council of ministers.
Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta was also present in the meeting.
