Cricket fans throng Visakhapatnam ahead of India-Australia match

VISAKHAPATNAM - Cricket fans from across the country have arrived in Visakhapatnam to see the second One-Day International (ODI) match between India and Australia being held here on Wednesday.

Sudheer Kumar, a fan from Bihar, said he has not missed a single match of the Indian cricket team in the past eight years.

“I have gone for the international matches on my bicycle. In 2007, I went to Bangladesh on my cycle to cheer for the Indian cricket team. I have also been to Pakistan on my cycle just to cheer for the Indian team,”

“From 2002 till now, I have not miss a single cricket match that has taken place in India. I have seen 163 ODIs, 26 Test matches, four Twenty-20s and 29 IPL (Indian Premier League) matches,” said Kumar

Kumar also got haircut in the shape of the Indian flag.

“The youngsters have got a good opportunity to exhibit their talent and I am sure they will do wonderful, and I am sure they will give a tough fight to Australia and they would be the winner,” said Gokaraju Ganga, Secretary of the Andhra Cricket Team Association.
