MELBOURNE - In form Victoria batsman Brad Hodge has started his summer with back-to-back unbeaten one-day centuries, creating the traditional groundswell of support for him to return to the Australia’s limited-overs side.

Hodge, however, is not thinking about that possibility. He is firming up plans for a holiday in Queensland when the Aussies take on Sri Lanka in a one-day series from November 3.

“It’s nice to have the speculation because it means you are performing well, but I don’t sit there any more digesting whether I am going to play for Australia,” Fox Sports quoted Hodge, as saying.

“It’s fascinating that I have this support but four people (the selectors) choose your fate and if you don’t have their backing, you are not in. I’m just enjoying the fun of it,” he adds.

Victoria have won their opening two one-dayers, against Western Australia and Queensland, and face the Warriors again at the MCG on Saturday. (ANI)
